Shopify Bundles and Offers: How to Build a Stronger Ecommerce Offer
An offer is not the same as a discount. How bundles, quantity breaks, thresholds and guarantees give shoppers a reason to decide today.
Many visitors who like a product still leave to think about it. An offer gives the decision a reason to happen now. That is why offer is its own area in the NOVA Growth Framework, worth 13 of the 100 points.
An offer is not the same as a discount. A permanent sitewide discount trains customers to wait for the next one and erodes margin. A well-built offer adds value or removes risk.

Bundles
A bundle packages products that belong together: a starter kit, a complete routine, a gift set. It helps the customer get the full result in one purchase, raises order value, and can make the price comparison with competitors less direct.
Good bundles come from real usage. Look at which products your customers already buy together, and build around that. A bundle of unrelated items that are not selling is easy to spot.
Quantity breaks
Quantity breaks reward buying more of the same product: buy two, save on the second. They suit consumables and gifts. Show them on the product page itself, next to the quantity selector, so the shopper sees the choice while deciding rather than discovering it in the cart.
Free shipping thresholds
Unexpected shipping costs are a common reason carts are abandoned. A threshold ("free shipping over X") turns that cost into a goal. Communicate it early (announcement bar, product page, cart) so shoppers can plan their order around it. Set it with your margins in mind.
Guarantees
A guarantee reverses risk. "Try it for 30 days, return it if it doesn't work for you" can matter more to a hesitant first-time buyer than a price reduction. Place a short version near the buy button and link to the full terms. Only promise what you can honour.
Putting it together
You do not need every mechanism. A strong offer for most stores has one clear reason to buy more (bundle or quantity break), one clear reason to buy now (threshold, limited availability that is true, or a seasonal set), and one clear reduction of risk (guarantee or easy returns).
Test the offer against your own data: conversion rate and order value together. An offer that raises order value but lowers the share of visitors who buy may not be an improvement.
What an offer cannot fix
An offer amplifies a product people already want. It will not rescue a product page that fails to explain the product, or a store visitors do not trust. If those are weak, fix them first, as described in how to prioritize growth opportunities.
Check your store
NOVA checks four offer mechanisms (bundle, quantity break, free shipping threshold and guarantee) on your store's public pages. Some of these are inferred from page content and app markup rather than observed directly, so NOVA presents them as opportunities to verify.
